CÓDIGO begins with a question that has followed me throughout my life: How much of who we become is shaped by the world around us, and how much do we consciously author ourselves?

The work explores identity as an intersection of lived experience, cultural inheritance, environment, social systems, memory, and agency. Saturated colors evoke the visual codes that quietly organize everyday life, while two dense, turbulent fields suggest internal territories where experience accumulates, collides, and transforms. A narrow red fissure simultaneously divides and connects them, becoming an unstable boundary between separation and exchange. Within this turbulence, a small constructed element introduces the possibility of agency: the capacity to create direction within systems we did not choose.

CÓDIGO extends my broader investigation into the invisible architecture of matter, emotion, and human experience. Through systems, forces, boundaries, and their traces, I explore how what cannot be directly seen can nevertheless shape what becomes visible.

CÓDIGO proposes identity not as something fixed, but as an ongoing negotiation between what we inherit, what shapes us, and what we choose to rewrite.
